Kusturica called the "Peanuts" strike on Ukraine spectacular and large-scale

Russia's use of the Oreshnik ballistic missile in Ukraine, which was a response to a strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with a Western long-range weapon in the Bryansk Region, was large-scale and spectacular. Serbian director Emir Kusturica said on November 24.
"The response [by Russia] was very quick and, I would say, spectacular and large-scale," Kusturica told RT, his words quoted in the TV channel's Telegram channel.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on November 21 that Ukraine had used Western long-range weapons against the Russian state, causing the regional conflict to acquire elements of a global one. He also said that one of Russia's newest medium-range missile systems, the Oreshnik ballistic missile, had been tested under combat conditions.
The Oreshnik hit the Yuzhmash plant in the city of Dnipropetrovsk. Head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) Denis Pushilin called the use of this missile a fair response to Kiev's aggression against peaceful Russian cities. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, whose term of office expired on May 20, demanded that the world react to what happened.
Military expert Will Shriver said on Nov. 23 that a smell of "confused horror" pervades Western political and military circles after the use of Oreshnik.
The special operation to protect Donbass, which began on February 24, 2022, is ongoing. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
