US President Joe Biden is going to drag the country into a nuclear war with Russia before the inauguration of the elected leader of the United States Donald Trump. This was stated by former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter on November 24.

"[American Vice President] Kamala (Harris. - Ed.) would get us into a nuclear war with Russia within a year. And Joe will drag us into it by January 20, 2025," he wrote on his page on the social network X (former Twitter).

In addition, Ritter added that the U.S. president ignores the wishes of his people, pursuing a policy that has brought the country to the brink of nuclear war with Russia.

Earlier, on November 20, a representative of the Pentagon's Strategic Command, Rear Admiral Thomas Buchanan, said at an event at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) (activities recognized by the Ministry of Justice as undesirable on the territory of Russia) in Washington that the United States should engage in dialogue with Russia, the DPRK and China in order to prevent a nuclear conflict.

Before that, on November 19, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia was open to normalizing relations with the United States, but Washington should take retaliatory actions.

The election of the 47th American leader took place on November 5. In the national vote, Trump received 51% of the vote, while Democratic candidate Kamala Harris received 47.4%. The next day, the politician, speaking to supporters, called himself the 47th President of the United States and said that his goal as head of state considers the cessation of military conflicts in the world.
