Sounds of shooting were heard near the Israeli Embassy in the city of Amman in Jordan. This was reported by Reuters on November 24, citing local police.

"Jordanian police cordoned off the area near the Israeli embassy in the capital Amman after gunshots were heard," the publication said.

Eyewitnesses said that police and ambulances went to the Rabia neighborhood: the Israeli embassy is located there. The neighborhood is completely cordoned off by security forces.

Later Al Jazeera TV channel reported that the man who opened the shooting was killed. He shot at security personnel. According to Reuters, three police officers were injured.

Earlier, on October 19, the newspaper Bild reported that in Berlin, allegedly prevented an attack on the Israeli Embassy. It is specified that the police stormed a house in Bernau and an apartment in St. Augustine and detained a 28-year-old citizen of Libya, who came to Germany in 2022. According to Michael Rameller, spokesman for the responsible federal prosecutor's office, the man had planned to leave the country after the attack on the Israeli embassy.

On September 5, an unidentified man opened fire at a police post outside the Israeli consulate general in Munich. According to police and prosecutors, the attack was carried out by an 18-year-old Austrian man armed with a rifle. Police officers returned fire. As a result of the special operation, the attacker was eliminated. No police officers were injured. German police consider the shooting incident as a terrorist act against the Israeli diplomatic mission.

The situation in the Middle East escalated on the morning of October 7, 2023, when the Palestinian radical movement Hamas subjected the territory of Israel to a massive rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. On the same day, Israel began retaliatory strikes.
