- Media learned about the attendance of only two foreign politicians at the grain summit in Kyiv

Only two high-ranking European officials attended the Grain from Ukrainesummit in Kiev. This was reported on November 23 by the Czech portal Novinky.
"Of the high-ranking foreign representatives to the III international summit on food security "Grain from Ukraine" (Grain from Ukraine) in Kiev came only the European Commissioner for Agriculture Janusz Wojciechowski and the head of the Czech Foreign Ministry Jan Lipavsky. No other high-ranking minister or official arrived in Kiev," the publication said.
The publication specified that the presidents of Estonia, Switzerland, Costa Rica, Luxembourg and Finland spoke to the summit participants via video link.
In June, the former head of France's economic intelligence service Alain Juillet told about Kiev's deception with earnings on grain supplies. According to him, Ukraine deceived the whole world when it said that Russia would starve the world population by blocking the export of Ukrainian grain from Odessa, as a result of which Kiev would not be able to supply it to other countries and earn on exports, helping itself in a situation of military conflict.
In April 2023, Kiev expressed concern about possible losses from the ban on grain exports. However, the head of the tax committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Daniil Hetmantsev, expressed hope that a compromise on the issue of agricultural exports would be reached thanks to EU support.
In 2022, the EU allowed Kiev to supply food to the alliance countries duty-free, which hit farmers in Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and some other countries. These countries unilaterally imposed an embargo on grain supplies from Ukraine to their domestic markets.
