The Russian Defense Ministry reported on the feats of the Russian military in the special operation zone

The Russian Defense Ministry on November 24 reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces (AF) who risked their lives to successfully carry out combat missions during a special military operation (SMO).

The agency noted the actions of Guards Private Ivan Bogach, a unit under whose command performed a combat mission to defend one of the settlements liberated by Russian troops from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

While conducting reconnaissance with the help of a drone, Bogach discovered a group of Ukrainian fighters who attempted to stealthily approach the positions of Russian servicemen and suddenly attack them in the flank. He then competently distributed the personnel into firing positions and was one of the first to engage the enemy.

For several hours, the unit under Bogach's command repelled the enemy's attack, seeking to regain lost ground. As a result, having suffered heavy losses, the Ukrainian militants retreated.

The Defense Ministry also drew attention to the merits of the UAV operator, Guards Private Andrei Dynda, who performed tasks to detect military equipment, positions of firearms, as well as sabotage and reconnaissance groups (DRGs) of the enemy.

While conducting aerial reconnaissance, Dynda detected an AFU surface-to-air missile system (SAM) that had taken up a firing position and was ready to open fire on the Russian positions. The guards private promptly transmitted the coordinates of the detected object to the command post.

After that, Russian artillery units destroyed the launcher of the complex, as well as a large number of enemy personnel. Thanks to Dynda's actions, it was possible to protect Russian positions from enemy attack.

Earlier, on November 23, the Defense Ministry reported that junior sergeant Alexander Danilov evacuated more than 10 wounded servicemen from under artillery fire and raids by enemy FPV drones in a Ural ambulance, preventing casualties.

On the same day, calculations of D-30 howitzers of the motorized rifle brigade of the tank army of the "West" group of forces eliminated a tank, camouflaged dugouts and AFU manpower. In a matter of minutes, all targets were destroyed at a distance of up to 10 kilometers. Thanks to this, the Russian infantry moved forward and occupied more favorable lines in one of the directions of the special operation.

The special operation to defend Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
