Israel struck a checkpoint on the Syria-Lebanon border


The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) struck the Jusiya checkpoint (checkpoint) on the border between Syria and Lebanon. SANA news agency reported this on November 23, citing the director of the checkpoint.
"The Israeli aggression on the checkpoint caused material damage," the director said.
The Jusiya checkpoint is located in the al-Quseir district of Homs province in Syria on the border with Lebanon.
Earlier on Nov. 20, Israel struck the city of Palmyra in Syria's Homs province. Residential houses and industrial area were shelled, the material specifies.
Before that, on November 14, the IDF struck the Mezzeh neighborhood in Damascus. According to the Syrian Defense Ministry, as a result of the attack, 15 people were killed and 16 suffered.
The situation in the Middle East escalated on the morning of October 7, 2023, when the Palestinian radical movement Hamas subjected the territory of Israel to a massive rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. On the same day, Israel began retaliatory strikes.
