A case has been opened after a gas explosion in a residential building in Syzran

In Syzran a criminal case was initiated after a gas explosion in a residential building. This was reported on November 23 by the press service of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of the Samara region.

According to preliminary data of the investigation, the explosion could have occurred due to the malfunction of the gas column, noted in the Telegram-channel of the agency.

The case was initiated under Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the requirements of safety of life and health of consumers"). Investigators and criminalists of the IC are working at the scene, which establish all the circumstances of the incident.

The explosion became known earlier in the day. It was reported that one man was injured in the incident, no fatalities were reported. In addition, in the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Samara region specified that as a result of the explosion there was a collapse of the apartment wall.
