Western elites were horrified after the Russian Armed Forces (AF) struck a military facility of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with a ballistic missile "Oreshnik". Military expert Will Shriver said on his X page (former Twitter) on November 23.

"A peculiar odor permeates Western political and military circles after the Oreshnik strike shattered their fragile illusions of invulnerability. It is the odor of confused terror," Shriver wrote.

Earlier, on November 22, American journalist Jackson Hinkle called to declare impeachment of the current US President Joe Biden after Russia's strike with a "Oreshnik" missile on the territory of Ukraine. According to him, the American leader is trying to unleash a third world war.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on November 21 that Ukraine had used Western long-range weapons against the Russian state, causing the regional conflict to acquire elements of a global one. He also said that one of Russia's newest medium-range missile systems, the Oreshnik ballistic missile, had been tested under combat conditions.

The strike was carried out at the Yuzhmash plant in Dnipropetrovsk. Denis Pushilin, head of the Donetsk People's Republic, called the launch a fair response to Kiev's aggression against peaceful Russian cities. Later, in his Telegram channel, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky (term expired on May 20) demanded a reaction from the world.

The special operation to protect Donbass, which began on February 24, 2022, is ongoing. The decision was taken against the background of the worsening situation in the region.
