In Lakhdenpokhsky district of the Republic of Karelia, an emergency regime has been introduced, where power outages continue due to bad weather. This was reported by the head of the district administration Oksana Zhestkova on November 23.

"In connection with the difficult situation to eliminate the consequences of the accident on the power supply networks in Lakhdenpokhsky district from 15:00 Moscow time. November 23, 2024 introduced a state of emergency," she wrote on her page in "VKontakte".

In Telegram-channel of the Prosecutor's office of Karelia reported that on the fact of a prolonged lack of electricity in the area is being checked. It is specified that if there are grounds will be taken measures of prosecutorial response.

Earlier in the day Moscow was covered with heavy snowfall. Chief specialist of the Moscow Meteobureau Tatyana Pozdnyakova reported that in the second half of the night of November 23 the city was in the precipitation zone of the southern cyclone, and within three or four hours in the capital formed a snow cover, by 09:00 its height reached a height of 3-4 cm. During the day, according to the meteorologist, precipitation will continue, in some places snow will be interspersed with rain.
