RKK helped restore contact with 1.2 thousand missing residents of Kursk Region

In Kursk region it was possible to restore contact with more than 1.2 thousand people who were reported missing. This was reported on November 23 by the Russian Red Cross (RRC).
It is noted that since August, the organization has received more than 6 thousand appeals to search for the missing, including lonely elderly people.
"It was possible to restore communication or learn the fate of 1,253 people. Work continues", - stated in the message in the Telegram-channel.
In addition, the organization said that 46 returned from the territory of Ukraine residents of Sujansky district provided humanitarian aid, psychological support, as well as restored contact with relatives.
The return of 46 Russians from Ukraine became known the day before. Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatyana Moskalkova specified that among the citizens returned to Russia are 12 children, including one newborn and a three-year-old child, as well as a wheelchair user.
Earlier, on October 21, Galina Belousova, a resident of the Kursk region, said that Ukrainian militants offered residents of local villages to leave for Ukraine after the invasion of the region. According to her, the villagers did not trust the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This attitude was aggravated by information that the AFU sent people to Ukraine against their will and no one knows what happened to the Russians who were taken away afterwards.
On September 24, the Russian Foreign Ministry's ambassador-at-large for crimes of the Kiev regime, Rodion Miroshnik, said that the Russian Federation had a roll-call list of Kursk Region residents held by the AFU, and the list had been handed over to law enforcement agencies. The ambassador added that the list was compiled based on reports from relatives of the missing residents of the region.
Ukrainian militants attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the AFU units that invaded the Russian territory is underway.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
