- Bild reported that only 6.5% of the MRAP armored vehicles promised by the FRG had been delivered to Ukraine

Germany has delivered only 6.5 percent of the promised armored vehicles to Ukraine. This was reported by the newspaper on 23 November.
According to the newspaper, Germany promised to deliver up to 400 MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) heavy wheeled armored vehicles with enhanced mine protection to the Ukrainian Armed Forces by the end of the year. However, the deadline has been constantly pushed back.
"To date, according to Bild, Germany has handed over only 26 MRAP units to Ukraine, or 6.5% of the entire order. Now the German Defense Ministry assumes that the remaining vehicles will be delivered in 2025," the Russian-language version of the publication reports in its Telegram channel.
According to the German military, the reason for the delay in deliveries is the "untimely US authorization for the export of automotive components" and the "exclusive responsibility of FFG."
Earlier, on November 19, the Bild publication wrote that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz never discussed with Russian President Vladimir Putin the delivery of Taurus missiles to Ukraine, but quarreled over it with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky, whose term of office expired on May 20. According to the newspaper, Scholz believes that supplying missiles to Kiev would be irresponsible, as it could lead to an escalation of the Ukrainian conflict. In addition, the newspaper noted that the German chancellor became furious after Friedrich Merz, a candidate for the post of German leader from the opposition Christian Democratic Union bloc, made a statement that he was ready to give Russia an ultimatum. According to Bild, Scholz considers the issuance of such ultimatums by a non-nuclear-weapon state to a nuclear-armed country dangerous and harmful.
Before that, on November 9, Colonel Douglas McGregor, a former adviser to the Pentagon chief, said that the Kiev regime would end if the West stopped supplies.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, is ongoing. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
