The Russian Armed Forces (AF) have hit the infrastructure of Ukrainian military airfields. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 23.
"Operational-tactical aviation, strike drones, missile troops and artillery of the groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation hit the infrastructure of military airfields, as well as accumulations of enemy manpower and military equipment in 149 areas," the ministry said in a statement.
In addition, units of the Vostok force group improved their tactical position and defeated formations of five brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the areas of Volno Polye, Razliv, Oktyabr and Novy Komar in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR). The Ukrainian army in the group's area of responsibility lost up to 155 military personnel, three tanks, two of which are German Leopard, a 155-mm howitzer M198 made in the USA and other weapons over the day.
Earlier in the day, the ministry said that the Russian Armed Forces destroyed a Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jet on the ground. In addition, the Russian Air Defense Forces shot down three French-made Hammer guided aerial bombs, eight shells of the US HIMARS multiple rocket launcher system (MLRS) and 59 aircraft-type drones. Since the beginning of the special operation, the AFU has lost 649 airplanes, 283 helicopters and more than 36,000 drones.
The Russian Defense Ministry also published footage of the Russian military's combat work during the liberation of the Novodmitrovka settlement in the DNR. The assault groups of the Russian army entered the place from different sides, using evasive maneuvers. The advance of the Russian troops was corrected by reconnaissance drone operators.
