Earthquakes occurred in several CIS republics


Earthquakes occurred on the territory of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Azerbaijan on Saturday, November 23.
"According to Tashkent time at 13:33 (11:33 Moscow time - Ed.) an earthquake has happened in Kyrgyzstan. Coordinates of the earthquake: 39.5 degrees north latitude; 71.74 degrees east longitude. Magnitude M=5.3. Depth 10 km. Distance from epicenter to Tashkent is 290 km in south-eastern direction", - stated in the message of the Seismic Prognostic Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan in its Telegram-channel.
It is specified that in Tashkent the magnitude of tremors amounted to 2 points, and in the Fergana region of Uzbekistan - 2-3.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) reports on its website that in Tajikistan there was an earthquake of 5.4 magnitude epicenter was at a depth of 7 km. It occurred simultaneously with tremors in Uzbekistan.
The Republican Center of Seismological Service at the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan reported on its website that in the republic at the same time there was an earthquake with magnitude 4.5, the epicenter was at a depth of 15 km.
Earlier, on October 27, a 5-magnitude earthquake occurred in southern Turkey. According to the Emergency Management Department (AFAD), the tremors were recorded in the Kozan region at 20:07 Moscow time, the origin was at a depth of 20.13 km.
