Footage of the extradition from Venezuela to Russia of an accused drug trafficker has been published

Stanislav Ruzhitsky, accused of organizing drug trafficking, was extradited from Venezuela to Russia. Images from Caracas airport on November 23 were published by the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation in its Telegram channel.

"To a special passenger - special escort," - signed the video in the department.

In the footage, four officers of the Venezuelan police and Interpol lead Ruzhitsky in the airport building.

As specified the official representative of the Russian Interior Ministry Irina Volk, Ruzhitsky was detained by Venezuelan law enforcement authorities after the Interpol channels managed to track his cross-border movements.

On the eve, November 22, the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia reported that according to the investigation, in 2009, the man created an organized criminal group (OCG). It delivered narcotic drugs by cargo mail to the warehouse of one of the transport companies, and then took the substances from the warehouse and placed in caches in the Moscow region for future sale. The activity of the attackers was stopped in 2011-2012, its participants were brought to criminal responsibility, but Ruzhitsky managed to escape. In 2016, the Prosecutor General's office of the Russian Federation declared him in the international wanted list, and in April this year the man was detained in Venezuela.

The agency specified that the extradited man is charged under part 1 of article 30, paragraphs "a", "g" part 3 of article 228.1 and paragraph "g" part 3 of article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Preparation for the illegal sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, committed by an organized group, on a particularly large scale, illegal sale of narcotic drugs on a particularly large scale").
