Ovechkin made his first public appearance since his injury and attended an NBA game

Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin made his first public appearance after fracturing his left fibula. This was reported by Russian Machine Never Breaks (RNMB) on November 22.
The athlete attended an intra-season National Basketball Association (NBA) game in the United States between the Washington Wizards and Boston Celtics. The game ended with a score of 108:96 in favor of "Boston", adds "Gazeta.Ru".
"Sitting just feet away from the Wizards bench, the Capitals forward could be easily spotted on TV thanks to his bright outfit, which matched the bright red design of the court," the publication said.
According to the RNMB, Ovechkin also took a photo with his trademark basketball.
Ovechkin was injured in the third period of the Washington Capitals' game against Utah on Nov. 19. The hockey player hurt his knee in a collision with Utah forward Jack McBain and had to leave the ice with the help of another player. Washington Capitals coach Spencer Carbery later revealed that Ovechkin was being examined after the injury. The hockey player's agent Gleb Chistyakov said that the athlete feels normal, but will miss four to six weeks because of the injury.
Ovechkin's injury stopped his pursuit of Wayne Gretzky's record, in the match with Utah Ovechkin increased the total number of goals in the regular season to 868 and reduced the gap with the Canadian to 26 goals.
