Russian President Vladimir Putin will deliver his address to the Federal Assembly in late winter or spring 2025, preparations for it have already begun. This was announced by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on November 23.
According to him, there are no specific dates yet, but the announcement of the message will definitely not take place before the end of 2024.
"Not this [year]. Now, in fact, the message is announced traditionally in spring somewhere, at the end of winter," Peskov told TASS.
He added that preparations for such an event begin in advance and take a long time.
This year Putin delivered his address to the Federal Assembly on February 29. During it, the President, in particular, announced the launch of five new national projects in the Russian Federation: "Family", "Youth of Russia", "Data Economy", "Long and active life" and "Personnel". In addition, the head of state touched upon the topic of the special military operation to protect Donbass and called those people who serve the country the true elite of Russia. Putin shared that he is proud of the fighters of the Russian army.
The Russian Constitution stipulates that the head of state addresses the Federal Assembly with a message annually, the speech should be devoted to the situation in the country and the main directions of foreign and domestic policy of the Russian Federation. In the address, the president shares his assessment of the situation in the country and outlines the goals to be achieved in the future.
