Russian gymnasts triumphed at the Heavenly Grace Cup in Qatar

Russian athletes won almost all gold medals at the fourth international tournament "Heavenly Grace Cup" held in Doha, the capital of Qatar. The participants of the competition on November 23 spoke about their impressions of the Cup.
"I want to thank everyone who took part in it. Thank you, gymnasts. You showed your skill and the beauty of rhythmic gymnastics. Thank you, judges, for your cooperation. Well done. Thank you, Olympic champions, coaches and guests of honor. You have put your strength, heart and soul into our sport", - said the Olympic champion, president of the International Association of Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs "Heavenly Grace" Alina Kabaeva.
Professionals believe that the level of participants at this tournament is the highest. This also applies to the programs of Russian gymnast Maria Borisova, who received three gold medals - in all-around, performance with ribbon and with jump rope.
"For me it was like such a holiday. Very positive emotions remained, especially now, at the end," said Borisova.
The Heavenly Grace Cup tournament has unique rules, which are more complicated than international ones, but allow athletes to fully show their abilities. This Cup stands out among other rhythmic gymnastics competitions.
"I've just watched the new programs of Heavenly Grace, I'm just delighted, I really liked it. So the rules are working, going in the right way, in the right direction. I hope that we will also comply," shared the head coach of the national rhythmic gymnastics team of Belarus Irina Leparskaya.
Leparskaya's mentee, Belarusian gymnast Alina Gornosko said that her favorite and at the same time the most time-consuming discipline is the rope exercise. This apparatus, according to the athlete, requires a huge number of jumps and great endurance. The rope is constantly in motion and can be manipulated in many different ways.
More than 100 athletes from 25 countries took part in the tournament held in Qatar on November 20-22. This was realized thanks to the fact that the International Association of Clubs "Heavenly Grace" took care of all the expenses of the participants. The competition was held at the Aspire Dome, one of the best arenas in the world. All participants and guests lived in the three hundred meters high hotel-skyscraper "Fakel", architectural and engineering design of which was made at a very high level.
It is important that the guests of the "Heavenly Grace Cup" were a group of children with disabilities. Alina Kabaeva supports these children, she has already invited them to the festival "Alina", these children participated in sports camps at the International Academy "Heavenly Grace" on the Black Sea coast.
The day before, on November 22, the awarding ceremony of the "Heavenly Grace Cup" took place. Karolina Tarasova, a pupil of the International Academy of Alina Kabaeva, won the ribbon exercise. Christina Voitenko from Novosibirsk won in the ball and rope program, and Ksenia Savinova from Gatchina won in the clubs exercise.
