U.S. actions on the Korean Peninsula may lead to war with the DPRK. This was stated by the head of the press service of the DPRK Ministry of Defense on November 23.

"Today, as the US military adventurism crosses a dangerous line on a global scale, the harsh military and political situation foreshadows that US military actions against our state may turn into a real war at any time," the Korean Central Telegraphic Agency(KCTAK) quoted him as saying.

The press chief warned that as the US destabilizes security on the peninsula, the DPRK army is on alert and ready to preemptively deter the threat.

"Our army is closely monitoring the military actions of the US and its allies and, while maintaining full combat readiness, does not rule out any possibilities. If necessary, it will immediately take measures to preventively deter the threat and achieve the military and strategic goals of the state," he emphasized.

According to him, in order to avoid an armed clash, the US needs to immediately stop "provocative actions."

Earlier, on November 22, Kim Jong-un, Chairman of the State Council of North Korea, said that the Korean Peninsula has never faced such a great risk of nuclear conflict. According to him, the U.S. is expanding the military alliance system for the joint use of nuclear weapons in order to contain Pyongyang's power. The North Korean leader indicated that he tried to establish relations with Washington, but this only confirmed the American "hostile policy".

Before that, on November 18, Kim Jong-un called for full military training in the country. Speaking at a gathering of KPA battalion commanders and political patrols, the DPRK leader condemned U.S. actions on the Korean Peninsula, which are leading to the aggravation of the situation due to increased military power and expanding alliances.

On Nov. 5, Kim Yo-jong, deputy department director of the central committee of the Workers' Party of Korea's central committee, said that violating the parity of power on the Korean Peninsula would lead to war. Kim Jong Un's sister recalled the record number of recent U.S. strategic deployments in the region, including a visit by a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier.
