Trump has nominated Lori Chavez-Derimer to be Secretary of Labor

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump proposed a member of the House of Representatives of the American Congress Lori Chavez-Derimer for the place of Secretary of Labor. The corresponding statement on November 23, the politician published on his page in the social network Truth Social.

"Lori's strong support from both the business community and the trade union community ensures that the Department of Labor will be able to unite all segments of society," the politician said in a statement.

According to Trump, Chavez-Derimer is capable of creating a work environment, improving job training and raising wages at businesses.

Earlier, on November 22, Trump proposed investor Scott Bessent as the new Treasury Secretary. He also specified that Bessent could help in the establishment of the "golden age of the United States" and strengthen the economy of the state.

At the same time, he also proposed the nomination of former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi as the U.S. Justice Secretary. The president-elect also noted Bondi's work to stop drug trafficking and reduce the number of drug-related deaths.

On Nov. 20, Trump nominated former acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker to be the U.S. permanent representative to NATO. He called Whitaker a strong warrior and dedicated patriot and said he would "put America first."

The election for the 47th president of the United States was held on Nov. 5. In the popular vote, Trump received 51% of the vote, while Democratic candidate Kamala Harris received 47.4%. Later, the politician, speaking to supporters, called himself the 47th President of the United States and said that his goal as head of state considers the end of military conflicts in the world.
