Musk pledged to improve the efficiency of U.S. defense spending


U.S. military spending will be improved with the help of the new Department of Government Efficiency in the United States (DOGE). This was announced by American entrepreneur Ilon Musk on November 22.
"DOGE will improve the efficiency of defense spending," he wrote on his page on the social network X (former Twitter).
US President-elect Donald Trump announced that American entrepreneurs Ilon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy will head the new US government efficiency department on November 13. The department will end no later than July 4, 2026.
Earlier in the day, Musk announced plans to reform the US state apparatus and cut the country's spending. He noted that DOGE will focus on identifying "thousands" of regulations that Trump will have to repeal.
On Nov. 18, Vivek Ramaswamy said DOGE would cut government spending and close some agencies. According to him, American citizens should be surprised by the speed of such measures.
On November 12, Trump also made a number of appointments. In particular, he nominated Fox News host Pete Hegseth to head the Secretary of Defense. He also clarified that Hegseth truly believes that "America First." Trump is confident that with the new head of the Pentagon, the US Army will become great again.
The election for the 47th president of the United States was held on November 5. In the national vote, Trump received 51% of the votes, while the candidate from the Democrats Kamala Harris - 47.4%. Later, the politician, speaking to supporters, called himself the 47th President of the United States and said that his goal as head of state considers the end of military conflicts in the world.
