US President-elect Donald Trump may end the conflict in Ukraine as Washington has all the tools to stop hostilities. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev in an interview with the Al Arabiya TV channel on November 22.

He also called Trump a "pragmatic man" and pointed out that "Washington has all the keys" to resolve the conflict. According to Medvedev, current US President Joe Biden will leave a "heavy legacy" after leaving office.

At the same time, Medvedev emphasized that Russia does not rely on Trump or anyone else in the Ukrainian issue.

"We rely only on our forces and our defense capabilities and we will win the Ukrainian conflict," he said.

Earlier, on November 17, Medvedev explained the reason for the US investment in the conflict in Ukraine. According to him, America is investing in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine to increase profits from exports of oil, liquefied natural gas and fertilizers to European countries.

On Nov. 14, Trump promised to "work very hard" to end the conflict in Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Moscow would wait for proposals in this regard and was ready to consider them.

Before that, on November 12, former Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard said that Trump's goal is to prevent World War III. She noted that all diplomatic measures should be tried before sending the US Armed Forces to hot spots, and this is one of the reasons why many Americans voted for Trump.

The election for the 47th president of the United States was held on November 5. In the national vote, Trump received 51% of the vote, while Democratic candidate Kamala Harris received 47.4%. The next day, the politician, speaking to supporters, called himself the 47th President of the United States and said that his goal as head of state considers the end of military conflicts in the world.
