US-led coalition aircraft committed 11 violations in Syria's skies overnight

In the Syrian Arab Republic (SAR), Russian servicemen have recorded 11 violations of airspace by the international anti-terrorist coalition led by the United States. This was stated at a briefing on November 22 by the deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Enemy Parties in Syria (CRIS) Captain First Rank Oleg Ignasyuk.

"In the area of al-Tanf, 10 violations of the rules of use of the airspace of the Syrian Arab Republic by the coalition aviation - a pair of F-15 fighter jets (five times) were recorded during the day," Ignasyuk said and added that the coalition continues to create dangerous situations in the Syrian sky.

One case of violation of the deconfliction protocols was also recorded, related to the flight of an unmanned aerial vehicle uncoordinated with the Russian side.

According to him, in the Idlib de-escalation zone there were three shelling of positions of the Syrian government forces by the terrorist groups "Jebhat al-Nusra" (banned in Russia) and "Islamic Party of Turkestan" (banned in Russia), of which two shelling in Idlib province, in Aleppo province - one shelling.

"In Aleppo province, one Syrian serviceman was wounded as a result of shelling from 120-mm mortar by terrorists from the Blint area at the positions of the Syrian government forces near the Ajara locality," he added.

Earlier, on November 21, the Russian military recorded 17 violations by the coalition in the airspace of the SAR during the day. It is reported that among the identified cases are violations of deconfliction protocols related to uncoordinated flights of unmanned aerial vehicles with the Russian side, as well as 14 violations of the rules of use of Syrian airspace, including five times by a pair of F-15 fighters, a pair of RAFALE fighters and a pair of Typhoon fighters.

Prior to that, on Nov. 20, the CPAC reported eight violations by the U.S.-led coalition in the skies over Syria. Also, four shellings were recorded in Idlib and Aleppo provinces, while the SAR foiled an attempt to infiltrate Syrian soldiers in the Urum Em Surg area.
