Venezuela will extradite Stanislav Ruzhitsky, accused of organizing drug trafficking, at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia. This was reported by the press service of the agency on November 22.

According to the investigation, in 2009, Ruzhitsky organized a group, whose members for conspiracy seized illegal substances and placed in hiding places in the Moscow region to sell them in the future. Between 2011 and 2012, law enforcement officers disrupted the group's activities by detaining the members.

Ruzhitsky, after learning about the detention of his accomplices, fled the country. In 2016, he was put on an international wanted list. In April 2024, he was detained in Venezuela, after which a request for his extradition was sent.

"Thanks to clear and coordinated actions of the Prosecutor General's office of the Russian Federation, organized close cooperation with the competent authorities of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela managed to achieve a positive decision on his extradition", - stated in the message of the Department.

Ruzhitsky will be delivered to Moscow accompanied by officers of the Federal Service for the Execution of Punishments in transit through Turkey.

The man will be held criminally liable under part 1 of article 30, paragraphs "a", "g" part 3 of article 228.1 and paragraph "g" part 3 of article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Preparation for the illegal sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, committed by an organized group, on a particularly large scale, illegal sale of narcotic drugs on a particularly large scale").

Earlier, on November 20, a school guard was detained in Ingushetia, who hid a bag of heroin at work. Law enforcers were guided by information that the man was engaged in trafficking in illegal substances. During a conversation with him this information was confirmed, the detainee confessed to everything and told them where he had hidden the bookmark, without specifying the exact location. However, the operatives, together with a police canine and a service dog, managed to find the package with prohibited substances in a pile of garbage.
