Court in Ireland finds Conor McGregor guilty in rape case

Former champion of the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) Irishman Conor McGregor was found guilty in a rape case. This was reported by the Irish Examiner newspaper on November 22.
"A woman who accused mixed martial arts fighter Conor McGregor of raping her in a Dublin hotel six years ago has won a claim for damages in a civil case in the High Court," the publication says.
The victim was Nikita Hand. It is noted that she had previously lost a case against another man, James Lawrence, whom she also accused of rape.
Jury deliberations in the McGregor case went on for six hours, noted in the publication. Now the athlete will have to pay the victim almost €250 thousand as compensation. McGregor himself during the meeting once again denied the charges.
Earlier, on November 18, the Australian police arrested former radio show host Alan Jones on charges that he for 20 years committed indecent assault, groped or inappropriately touched young people.
