Popular housing formats among Russians of different ages are named

Boomers more often choose small apartments, while Generation X buyers prefer to buy two-room dwellings. This is stated in the results of a study by Glavstroy Regions specialists, which were presented to Izvestia on November 25. The data are based on the analysis of the developer's clients.
Thus, the expert found out that boomers (born before 1964) mainly consider small apartments in areas with good transport accessibility and near quiet cozy parks. The presence of developed infrastructure on the territory of the housing estate, stores and pharmacies on the first floors is also important for them. Most of all representatives of this generation preferred studios and one-bedroom apartments - 77%, the remaining part - 23% - three-bedroom Euroformat apartments.
At the same time, more than half (52%,) of Generation X (1965-1980) buyers bought two-room apartments.
"Their choice is often conditioned by status: apartments with exquisite design, the possibility of redevelopment and modern engineering", - noted the experts.
In second place among the representatives of this generation are studios and one-room lots. Three-room apartments are less popular, they were purchased by only 14% of clients aged 44 to 59 years. Generation X also appreciate the environment and seek to live away from the hustle and bustle, choosing objects with greenery, but not far from the center.
Millennials (1981-1996) are more willing to purchase their first home and more often family format - 47% of millennials bought "three-bedroom", 35% - "two-bedroom". Studios and one-bedroom apartments are not as common among them - 18%.
"Millennials appreciate technology and convenience, the presence of "smart home" systems, the ability to order services through a mobile application. They also choose housing near transportation hubs and business centers to reduce travel time," experts specified.
Zoomers (1997-2010) are focused on minimalism and functionality. Among them are popular small-sized apartments with a thoughtful use of space, 38% preferred eurodvushka with a combined living room-kitchen, 32% - studios and one-room options and 29% lots, which have three or more rooms. Zoomers also pay attention to modern public spaces: co-working spaces, themed clubs, circles and neighborhood socializing areas.
Earlier, on November 2, it was reported that when buying housing Russians are primarily focused on its location and only then on the available budget. This is stated in the results of the VTB survey. Every third Russian considers the most comfortable "young" secondary housing - real estate, which is 3-10 years old. About 30% more comfortable called a country house. The comfort of new buildings - up to three years from the date of delivery of the house - was noted by 23% of respondents. And only 15% prefer secondary housing, which is more than 10 years old.
