Patrushev noted the importance of the Volga River recovery for the comfortable life of citizens

Construction of treatment facilities on the Volga River is one of the most important areas of the national project "Ecology". This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Patrushev on November 22.

According to him, the Nizhny Novgorod region is dynamically developing various areas of the economy, and industrial production is also growing. In addition, the region is an important scientific and educational center for Russia, Patrushev noted.

"Your agro-industrial complex is also developing, the government has allocated more than two billion rubles for its support this year," said the Russian Deputy Prime Minister during a meeting with Nizhny Novgorod Region Governor Gleb Nikitin.

Patrushev also noted the success of the head of the region in the field of environmental protection and drew attention to the active participation of the Nizhny Novgorod region in the national project "Ecology". Thus, over the past six years, 5 billion rubles have been received within the framework of this direction.

One of the priority areas, according to Patrushev, is the construction of treatment facilities on the Volga River. He specified that the river is one of the key waterways of Russia, and measures to improve its health "are essential for the comfortable life of citizens."

On the same day, Patrushev said that the launch of facilities implemented within the framework of national projects should not be allowed to be disrupted. He also pointed out the importance of timely commissioning of Bogorod sewage treatment plants and aeration station. Patrushev called on regional authorities and the federal ministry involved in the construction of the facility to speed up its construction.

In addition, Patrushev said that the main objective of Russia's national projects is to improve the quality of life of the population.
