In Russia, flower prices rose by 11% over the year


Prices for flowers for the year increased by 11%. This conclusion was reached by analysts of the company "ATOL", having made a study of the cost of bouquets for Mother's Day. "Izvestia" got acquainted with the results of the experts' study on November 23.
"In November 2024, the average amount spent on a bouquet amounted to 2,567 rubles, which is 11% more expensive compared to the same period in 2023. The median cost of one rose in a store is 182 rubles - plus 11% from last year. Carnation can be purchased for an average of 65 rubles, which is 4% more than in 2023," the company noted.
At the same time, the price of a calla flower reached 360 rubles (+8%), peonies cost 377 rubles (+8%), and chrysanthemums - 253 rubles (+7%). It is also noted that a bright sunflower Russians can buy for Br255, a lily will cost Br268, and eustoma - Br550. Prices for these flowers have increased by 2%.
The average cost of one iris in November is Br122 (+5%), gladiolus - Br227 (+4%), and hydrangea - Br451 (+3%).
Earlier, October 19, it was reported that Rosselkhoznadzor decided to impose temporary restrictions on imports of buds and cut flowers from Kazakhstan due to non-compliance with Russian standards of phytosanitary certificates. The service specified that Kazakhstan re-exports most flowers from the Netherlands, Poland and Belgium, but the competent agencies of these countries do not provide the appropriate level of control over the safety of products.
