Berbock called Russia part of the European family

Russia is part of the European family. This was stated by German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock on November 22 on the sidelines of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in Baku.

At the same time, the Minister accused Russia of allegedly undermining peace in Europe.

"We are in a situation where for a thousand days now on our European continent Russia, which is also part of our European family, is undermining peace in Europe," RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.

Earlier, on November 4, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the West is waging a hybrid war against the Russian state. According to him, after the start of Russia's special operation in Ukraine, Washington and its partners have applied more than 21 thousand sanctions against Moscow - in the spheres of economy, finance, trade, investment, media, culture, sports and others.

For her part, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Western countries do not want peace. They intend to continue the hybrid war against Russia.

Earlier, in July 2023, Berbock said that Berlin is not against negotiations with Moscow, but does not yet see the conditions. At the same time, according to her, the situation could allegedly change if Russia gives up the goals of the special operation and, accordingly, leaves the zone of air defense.
