The Russian Ministry of Justice has added Oleg Shein, a politician and former State Duma deputy, to the register of foreign agents. The relevant information appeared on November 22 on the official website of the ministry.

According to the agency, the former deputy participated as an expert and respondent on information platforms provided by foreign agents. In addition, he participated in the dissemination of messages and materials of the foreign agent for an unlimited number of people. According to the Ministry of Justice, Shein also disseminated unreliable information about the decisions that were made by the public authorities of the Russian Federation and the policies they pursued.

Vadim Vaganov, an ex-participant in the regional elections in St. Petersburg, was also included in the register of foreign agents. According to the agency, he is an employee of the project included in the register of foreign agents.

At the same time, Altair 2021 LLC was excluded from the list of foreign agents due to liquidation.

Earlier, on November 15, Ingush journalist Magomed Toriev and writer and public figure Vera Afanasyeva were included in the register of foreign agents.

Before that, on November 1, writer and publicist Alexander Arkhangelsky was recognized as a foreign agent.
