A woman died after a car was blown up by a mine in the Kursk region


A civilian car was blown up by a mine in Kursk region, a woman died as a result of the incident. This was reported by the Governor of the region Alexei Smirnov on November 22.
"Today in the Rylsky district there was a tragedy: a civilian passenger car, in which a married couple was traveling, ran over an explosive device. As a result, the woman died on the spot from her injuries," he wrote in his Telegram-channel.
Smirnov added that a man was also injured as a result of the explosion of transport. He was taken to a medical facility to provide the necessary assistance.
The governor of the region reminded about the danger of traveling in civilian cars in the border areas of Kursk region. He urged citizens not to put themselves and their loved ones at risk.
Earlier, on November 18, a civilian died when a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked a passenger car in Bolshezoldatsky district of Kursk region. Smirnov expressed condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
