Russian watchmaker Chaikin's creations will be shown in Moscow

The first personal exhibition "Konstantin Chaikin. Watches and Art" will be held in Moscow in "Gallery on Elokhovsky" from November 29 to December 8 this year, the organizers of the event reported.
The exposition reveals all aspects of the famous watchmaker's work, showing both his most famous products and author's sketches.
Among the works demonstrated at the exhibition are the table clock "Moscow Paschalia" with the calendar of Orthodox Easter and 26 more complications, included in the "Book of Russian Records", a fairy-tale art object "Lukomorye" with a chain graphic hour indicator, models from the space series Mars Conqueror with synchronized time indication on Earth and on Mars and Space Conqueror, which have been in outer space, as well as the thinnest mechanical wristwatch in the world ThinKing. Visitors will have a rare opportunity to see the very first watch created by Chaikin, the 2003 Tourbillon.
The exhibition traces the relationship between Chaikin's precision engineering solutions from the field of horological mechanics and his artistic works. Each of the 30 sketches is a design art object that has a real-life embodiment.
In addition to watches created by the master, the gallery for the first time collects paintings by Konstantin Chaikin. Chaikin the artist invents his own metaphorical language to tell us about matter and the idea of time.
