Summary of special operations in Ukraine for the week

A special military operation to protect civilians in Donbas has been carried out by Russia since February 24, 2022. The Defense Ministry said that during the week the Russian Armed Forces (AF) liberated the settlements of Leninskoye, Novoalekseevka, Novoselidovka, Ilyinka and Novodmitrovka, Dalneye and Makarovka in the DNR.

Also, the Russian army defeated the manpower and equipment of the tank, four mechanized, infantry, three jaeger brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), two brigades of the Marines, three brigades of the Tero Defense and two brigades of the National Guard. Sixty-eight enemy counterattacks were repelled, the ministry added.

In addition, on November 21, in response to the use of U.S. and British long-range weapons against facilities on Russian territory, Russian forces launched a combined strike against one of the facilities of Ukraine's defense-industrial complex (DIC) in Dnipropetrovsk (Ukrainian name - Dnipro). For the first time in combat conditions, a medium-range ballistic missile in nuclear-free hypersonic equipment, the Oreshnik, was successfully used. The Defense Ministry indicated that the purpose of the launch was achieved, all the combat units reached the target object.

Also during the week, the Russian military launched massive and 30 group strikes with precision weapons, including the hypersonic aeroballistic missile "Kinzhal", as well as strike drones on the objects of the defense industry of Ukraine.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 648 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 36,500 UAVs, 586 SAMs, 19,481 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,490 MLRS combat vehicles, 18,388 field artillery and mortars, and 28,637 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
