Russian military destroyed a German BMP "Marder" of the AFU in the Kursk border area

A unit of the North group of forces has destroyed a German-made Marder infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the border area of Kursk Region. Images of the combat operation are published by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 22.

"Marder" was detected in the area of a forest belt. After analyzing the intelligence, the soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces (RF Armed Forces) decided to make a strike on the target.

The Ukrainian army's BMP was destroyed by the FPV drone's calculation.

Earlier in the day, army aviation crews of Ka-52M helicopters carried out strikes on personnel and armored military equipment of the AFU in the border area of Kursk Region. The crews also performed an anti-missile maneuver after the use of enemy aircraft and released heat traps before returning to the departure site.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
