The Moscow State Automobile Inspectorate will conduct a raid to prevent traffic violations by couriers using personal mobility equipment (PME) and bicycles. The event will take place next weekend, November 23-24. The agency announced this on Friday in its Telegram-channel.

As part of the raid, traffic police will hold explanatory talks, remind bicycle couriers of the need to be attentive on the road, to use protective equipment, as well as to comply with the requirements of road signs and traffic signals.

"Employees of the traffic police of Moscow daily implement preventive measures and organize control over the participation in traffic of persons providing delivery services", - emphasized in the department.

At the end of September, as a result of a raid on Muscovites who move on SIM and bicycles, traffic police officers suppressed more than 750 violations of traffic rules. The preventive event was carried out jointly with kickshare companies and scouts. 234 measures were taken against SIM users, including blocking user accounts.

On November 19, it was reported that the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation is preparing amendments to traffic rules, according to which the minimum age for driving personal mobility equipment (PME) will be raised from 14 to 16 years old.
