In 2024, inspectors of the Moscow Administrative Road Inspectorate (MADI) increased patrolling on 42 streets with heavy traffic. This was reported on November 22 in the Telegram-channel of the capital's deptrans.

According to Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport Maxim Liksutov, thanks to such measures the number of violations of parking rules there has decreased by an average of 70%.

Deptrans stated that drivers began to observe parking rules more often on Akademika Pilyugina, Yartsevskaya, Petrovsky Boulevard and Lesnaya Streets, as well as on Osenniy Boulevard. It is noted that earlier on these streets drivers often abandoned cars under the prohibited stopping signs and on the sidewalks. This interfered with pedestrians and other drivers, hindered the work of special equipment and provoked accidents.

"Parking on sidewalks or under prohibited signs often leads to accidents with injuries. To pedestrians and motorists could safely move around the city, MADI inspectors around the clock monitor compliance with the rules of stopping and parking," - said Liksutov.

On October 30 it was reported that from November MADI inspectors will more often check motorists' compliance with the rules of stopping and parking on Tverskaya Street, Gazoprovod Street, Shcherbakovskaya Street, in Astradamsky passage and Ogorodny passage.

From November 1, 2024, a number of new areas entered the zone of resident permits in Moscow, in addition, parking rates on certain streets were point-by-point adjusted. Parking rates on 27 streets were reduced to balance demand, including up to 40 rubles on certain lots. In 7.3% of paid parking lots, tariffs were adjusted within the existing tariff grid.
