Over the past 24 hours, 324 traffic accidents occurred on Russian roads, in which 30 people were killed and 359 injured. 14 of the dead were passengers and drivers of vehicles. This was reported to "Izvestia" on November 22 in the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

As a result of 156 traffic accidents, 90 of which occurred at crosswalks and 66 outside their zone of action, 16 pedestrians were killed, another 147 were injured of varying severity. Thus, in the town of Tikhvin, Leningrad region, the driver of a passenger car hit an 83-year-old pensioner who was crossing the roadway at a regulated crosswalk at a prohibited traffic signal. As a result of the accident, the elderly woman died.

In addition, 24 minors under the age of 16 were among the injured pedestrians. For example, in Vladimir, a woman driving a passenger car while driving past the school grounds hit a seven-year-old girl, who, despite the fact that she was accompanied by her mother, suddenly for the driver ran out from behind a parked car. The first-grader was hospitalized with injuries.

With the participation of minors on Thursday 32 traffic accidents were registered, as a result of which 36 young road users were injured, including 12 child passengers. There were no children killed.

In the Murmansk region due to adverse weather conditions (snow, blizzard and gusty wind) from the evening of November 21, temporarily stopped traffic on two roads of regional importance: "Kola" - Serebryanskie HPP" from the 32nd km to the village of Tumanny and the approach to the village of Teriberka.

On the eve of the weekend, the State Automobile Inspectorate draws the attention of drivers to control the technical condition of their cars, as well as the peculiarities of traffic during the change of seasons. Due to frequent precipitation, including in the form of rain and wet snow, the transition of night temperatures over the minus mark, the formation of ice on the roadway, reducing daylight hours and limiting visibility, it is necessary to strictly observe the speed limit and distance, as well as avoid dangerous maneuvers to be able to react to a sharp change in traffic conditions.

"Parents of minors are advised to be more attentive to their children, unnecessarily not letting them go out alone, unsupervised. On weekends, take joint family walks with them. We also recommend to equip children's clothes with light-reflecting elements to make them more visible to drivers in the dark or dusk. Lack of control over the behavior and leisure time of children, especially in the evening, often leads to injury or death of young road users. According to operative data, for three weeks of November in the Russian Federation there were 795 road accidents involving minors, in which 872 children were injured and 25 children were killed", - said "Izvestia" deputy head of the propaganda department of the State Automobile Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, police colonel Anton Belan.

On the eve of the State Traffic Inspectorate said that at one of the schools in Voronezh as an experiment appeared a new road sign "Chmoki and poki". This is an alternative to the sign "dropped off and left", developed by designer Artemy Lebedev.
