A cab driver detained by police officers while trying to pay a bribe for a traffic violation managed to escape from a Moscow Region police station through a hole in the fence. As Izvestia's source reported on November 22, the offender was eventually detained again.
It is noted that the incident occurred on November 21 in the capital's Ramenki district. Traffic police officers stopped a man for driving on the oncoming lane, he tried to give a bribe of 12 thousand rubles, for which he was detained and taken to the department.
During the registration the cab driver decided to escape through a hole in the fence. The fugitive was detained at Vnukovo airport when trying to take an evening flight to Kyrgyzstan.
Prior to that, on August 20, Chairman of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia Alexander Bastrykin instructed to check the actions of police officers after they detained members of the public during a clash with cab drivers in St. Petersburg. It was noted that the day before a repeated conflict involving migrants took place on Komendantsky Prospekt in connection with competition in the cab industry. The head of the Investigative Committee gave instructions to check the possible illegal patronage of cab drivers by police officers.
