Tverskoy district court of Moscow has imposed an administrative fine of Br50 thousand on comedian Danil Poperechny (recognized in Russia as a foreign agent). This was reported in the press service of the capital's courts of general jurisdiction on November 22.

Poperechny was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation").

Earlier, on November 19, it became known that Poperechny appealed the court's refusal to exclude him from the register of foreign agents.

In September it was reported that Poperechny appealed the status of a foreign agent. Later, on October 5, the court denied the blogger's claim. During the consideration of the lawsuit, a representative of the Ministry of Justice named one of the reasons for the blogger's inclusion in the register of foreign agents as receiving funds from foreign companies.

The Ministry of Justice of Russia recognized Poperechny as a foreign agent on July 14. The comedian was a respondent on the information platform provided by the foreign agent. In addition, he opposed the special operation of the Russian Federation to protect Donbass, disseminated inaccurate information to form a negative image of Russia, as well as the Armed Forces (AF) of the Russian Federation. The blogger also received support from foreign sources and created foreign agent materials for an unlimited number of people.
