Salmonellosis was the cause of poisoning of schoolchildren in Kansk

Salmonellosis was the cause of poisoning of students in a school in Kansk. This was reported to "Izvestia" on Friday, November 22, by the Prosecutor's Office of Krasnoyarsk Krai.

As reported the day before in the regional department of Rosselkhoznadzor, against the background of reports about the facts of mass poisoning of children, an inspection was conducted, which revealed a systemic violation of legal requirements in the organization of school meals.

The organizer of meals for the school, where children were poisoned, is an individual entrepreneur, registered as a "retail trade enterprise engaged in the sale of livestock products". At the same time at the address of registration there is a warehouse of hangar type. In addition, the food units of schools are not registered, and veterinary accompanying documents for products are not issued.

According to the latest data, 51 people were affected.

The poisoning of schoolchildren in the school of Kansk became known on November 20. It was noted that most of the children were hospitalized in the infectious disease department. On this fact, a criminal case was initiated on the provision of services that do not meet the requirements of safety of life and health of consumers.

As part of the investigation, the individual entrepreneur providing food for children, the staff of the food processing unit and the school management were questioned. Samples of cooked food were also seized and washes were taken from the employees preparing the food.
