WhatsApp has added a feature to decrypt voice messages in Russian

Messenger WhatsApp (owned by Meta, recognized in Russia as extremist and banned) has added the function of free decryption of voice messages in Russian. This was announced on November 21 on the developer's blog.
"Now you can read text transcripts of voice messages and respond to them wherever and whenever you want," the post said.
Decryption is performed directly on the user's device, the company noted.
To enable or disable this feature and select the desired language, you need to go to WhatsApp's Settings - Chats - Voice Message Decryption.
To use the transcription, you need to tap and hold on the message and then select the "Transcribe" option from the pop-up menu.
"We will continue to work on this feature to make the app even more convenient", - said representatives of the messenger.
In Telegram, a similar function is available only to users of the paid Premium subscription costing from 299 rubles. In WhatsApp, the decryption of voice messages will work for all users for free, as in other messengers, for example, in VK, complements "Gazeta.Ru".
Earlier, on November 11, it was reported that in the beta version of WhatsApp 2.24.24.5 was found a glitch that causes the entire screen to turn green when opening a chat.
Before that, on October 2, it became known that WhatsApp will launch the ability to personalize video calls with filters and virtual backgrounds. A total of 10 variants of backgrounds and filters will be available. In addition, there will be an option to improve the lightness of the picture.
