The first day of the Russian Creative Week - Siberia business program included more than 10 thematic panel discussions dedicated to different sectors of the creative economy, as well as a central foresight session.

The business program of "Russian Creative Week" is held in the creative cluster "Kvadrat", the agreement on the creation of which was signed as part of the first district festival-forum in 2021.

The events of the first day of the forum were attended by the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk region Mikhail Kotyukov. "The creative economy in the Krasnoyarsk region is developing quite actively. More than 20 thousand people are employed in the industry, there are more than 13 thousand subjects of creative industries. Their contribution to GRP is 2.9%. Our goal is to double this figure by 2030. Accordingly, it is necessary to support and stimulate creative people in every possible way. Siberia has always been rich in people who are creative, active, ready to propose and realize new ideas. These can be youth projects and projects concerning changes in the appearance of cities and industries, and digital technologies - this is now also part of the creative component. The rich scientific traditions of the region give us the opportunity to build on this foundation and make the next step by involving young scientists and researchers in new creative projects", - said Mikhail Kotyukov.

On the first day of the business program a foresight session was held, which was attended by representatives of the federal and regional authorities, business community and experts from different regions of Russia. The topic of the discussion was devoted to the introduction of value orientations in the development strategies of creative industries in the regions by the example of the best practices of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

"Creative industries are very actively developing in the regions. There are practically no subjects of the Russian Federation left in which development institutes have not been established. In Krasnoyarsk, for example, there is the Siberian Institute for the Development of Creative Industries, which forms the conditions for small, medium and large businesses to work on the creative economy. Krasnoyarsk has creative specialization, actively developing areas of gastronomy, fashion, design, IT-sector. Krasnoyarsk is a "champion" in holding creative forums: "Russian Creative Week - Siberia" is held for the fourth time. It is noticeable how dynamically the situation is changing from the point of view of creating conditions for the creative sector by the state", - said Alexander Zhuravsky, Deputy Head of the Presidential Department for Public Projects.

In addition, there were discussions on the topics of architecture, training for the creative sector, industrial design, inclusive museum environment, tourism, public art, as well as the prospects of brands through marketplaces.

Krasnoyarsk is hosting "Russian Creative Week - Siberia" for the fourth consecutive year. "The first Creative Week in Siberia was held in 2021, and it was a precedent when Russian Creative Week came to the region. Today it is already a tradition, and we see that the practices that have been implemented in Krasnoyarsk are becoming benchmarks for other subjects. For example, the Siberian Institute for the Development of Creative Industries shows effective tools of the region's work with business. Today, Russian Creative Week brings together hundreds of top speakers from all over the country from 14 industries. And now we have a task to work out a strategy for the development of creative industries in Siberia for the years ahead", - said the president of ANO "Creative Economy", the director of the festival-forum "Russian Creative Week" Marina Mongush (Abramova).

The first day of the "Russian Creative Week - Siberia" ended with the premiere of the documentary film series "The Land of Winemakers" directed by Ivan Vdovin. The film is dedicated to Russian small wineries that have appeared in the country over the past 20 years, but about which few people know.

The business program of the festival-forum is held for two days - November 21 and 22 - in the business cluster. In total, more than 30 thematic sessions, as well as lectures and master classes are planned as part of the business program.
