A criminal case has been opened in Podolsk over the death of a girl as a result of a metal pavilion falling on her during a hurricane. This was reported on November 22 in the press service of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia (GUSU SKR) in the Moscow region.

"A criminal case has been opened under Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence")," the department's Telegram channel said.

Investigators examined the scene and appointed a medical forensic examination.

A metal structure fell on a girl born in 2002 the day before at about 22:00 on the territory of the industrial park Grivno. It happened because of a strong gust of wind. It was specified that earlier the pavilion was used as a place for smoking.
