The weather forecaster told when meteorological winter will come to Moscow


Meteorological winter will come in Moscow on Sunday, November 24. This was reported on November 22 by the leading expert of the weather center "Phobos" Evgeny Tishkovets.
"On Sunday, November 24, with a delay of 10 days, meteorological winter will come in the capital of our homeland, that is, there will be a steady transition of the average daily air temperature through zero towards negative values," he said in a conversation with "RIA Novosti".
The forecaster noted that thanks to the anticyclone the weather will improve, it will be sunny. At the same time, he pointed out the onset of frosts^ in the morning the temperature will be at -2... -5 degrees, in the afternoon - at 0... -3 degrees.
Tishkovets also specified that from Monday, November 25, the weather will be low cloudy and cold. Under the morning frosts to -3 ... -8 degrees are expected, and in the afternoon - to 0 ... -5 degrees.
Earlier, November 20, Deputy Head of the Situation Center of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center Anatoly Tsygankov said that winter should not be expected before December. He also pointed out that snow has always fallen on New Year's Eve and expressed hope that this year would not be an exception.
Tishkovets reported on the same day that a temporary snow cover began to form in the capital region. According to readings at MSU weather stations, in Mikhailovsky, Moscow Region, Naro-Fominsk, Klin, its height is 1 cm, and in Volokolamsk - 2 cm.
He added that the snow cover began to form in other regions of Central Russia. Thus, in the area of the Central Forest Reserve in the Tver region, its height amounted to 5 cm, in the Pskov region - 4 cm, in the Smolensk region - 3 cm.
