Patient in ambulance kills paramedic on the way to hospital in Priangarie

In the Irkutsk region, a patient killed a paramedic while being transported to the hospital in an ambulance. As reported on November 22 SU Investigative Committee (IC) for the region, the suspect is currently being sought.

It is noted that the night before the medics delivered an intoxicated 53-year-old man to the hospital from the territory of the shift village. On the way between them arose a verbal altercation.

"The patient stabbed the medical worker in the chest area, then began to threaten the driver with violence, but he was able to escape. The attacker fled the scene, the 35-year-old paramedic died in the hospital from the wound he received," - stated in the Telegram-channel of the Department.

As added by the Governor of the Irkutsk region Igor Kobzev, the tragedy occurred when the patient began to behave aggressively and the paramedic opened the door to calm him down. However, at that moment the one stabbed him in the chest with a knife, after which he tried to get to the driver, but was unable to do so and ran away.

"The paramedic and the driver tried to hitchhike to the hospital, on the way Alexander Vyacheslavovich [Pechelatov] died. <...> He was left with two small children," the head of the region wrote in his Telegram-channel.

A criminal case has been opened under part 1 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder"). In the regional Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs believe that the attack could have been committed by a 53-year-old resident of Borzinsky district of the Transbaikal Territory. All means of law enforcement agencies are involved in the detention of the attacker, as indicated on the website of the department.

The suspect inflicted multiple injuries on his opponent. Realizing that the man was still alive, he pushed him out of the apartment window to pass off the incident as an accident.
