Air defense forces shot down 23 Ukrainian UAVs overnight over Russian regions

The air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 23 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) overnight over the territories of Russian regions. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on November 22.

"During the past night during the Kiev regime's attempt to carry out a terrorist attack with the use of unmanned aerial vehicles on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation, on-duty air defense means destroyed and intercepted 23 Ukrainian UAVs of airplane type," the ministry said.

It is specified that overnight over the territory of the Bryansk region destroyed 12 UAVs, over the territory of the Kaluga region shot down nine drones, over the territory of the Kursk region - two UAVs.

Earlier in the day Bogomaz reported the destruction of first five Ukrainian UAVs by air defense forces, then another one and five UAVs, and another UAV over the region. According to his information, there were no casualties or damage as a result of the attack.

The AFU is trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the beginning of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
