Due to the lack of cooperation on the nuclear issue, the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) adopted a resolution criticizing Iran. This was reported by France 24 TV channel on November 21.

"The resolution, against which voted China, Russia and Burkina Faso, was adopted by 19 votes in favor with 12 abstentions, and Venezuela did not participate," - stated in the material of the channel.

It is specified that the U.S. told the IAEA board about the deep concern about Tehran's nuclear activities, and London, Paris and Berlin added that the nuclear program could threaten world security.

Earlier, on November 20, IAEA head Rafael Grossi said in his opening remarks to the organization's board of governors that Iran had begun preparations to stop building up stocks of uranium enriched to 60%. He specified that the IAEA and Tehran continue to discuss this issue.

Prior to that, on November 17, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that European countries and Iran plan to resume talks on returning to the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on Iran's nuclear program. He said the talks could begin "as soon as possible."

On November 16, Grossi toured two Iranian nuclear facilities at Natanz and Fordow. Grossi visited the Natanz nuclear power plant and the uranium enrichment facility at Fordo, which is dug into a mountain 100 kilometers south of Tehran.

Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian said in a Nov. 14 meeting with the IAEA director general that there are no plans to build nuclear weapons. According to him, Iran has never aspired to possess nuclear capabilities.
