Police in Brazil have accused ex-President Bolsonaro of a coup d'état

In Brazil, the federal police accused the country's former president Jair Bolsonaro of a coup d'état. This was reported on November 21 by the news portal G1.
It is reported that charges have also been brought against former members of his government: General Augusto Heleno, Alexandre Ramajem and Valdemar da Costa Neto.
"The conclusion of the investigation points to a criminal organization that acted in a coordinated manner in the coup attempt to hold Bolsonaro after his defeat in the 2022 elections," the portal pointed out.
According to the G1 piece, the results of the investigation will be submitted to Brazil's Supreme Court.
Earlier, on July 5, the police charged the former president of Brazil with misappropriation of public goods, criminal association and money laundering. It is specified that Bolsonaro does not admit guilt.
In October 2022, Lula da Silva won the election with a 1.8% margin over Bolsonaro. On January 1, 2023, he took the oath of office and became president for the third time. A week later, mass riots broke out in the country, organized by supporters of ex-president Bolsonaro. The latter, in turn, condemned the actions of his supporters, calling them illegal.
On January 18, 2023, da Silva said that Bolsonaro was responsible for the mass pogroms and clashes in the country. According to da Silva, his predecessor had spread lies and provoked hatred among the population during his presidential term.
