The U.S. Navy struck the Yemeni province of Hodeidah, controlled by the Houthis from the Ansar Allah movement. This was reported on November 22 by the Saudi TV channel Al Hadath.

According to the channel, presumably four strikes were carried out from the sea on the facilities of the Houthis.

Earlier, on November 12, it was reported that the U.S. and Britain carried out at least nine strikes on the facilities of Yemen's Ansar Allah movement (Houthis).

The Houthis began striking ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden since last November to protest Israeli actions in the Gaza Strip. On the night of January 12, in response to their actions, the U.S. and Britain launched an attack on Houthi targets in Yemen. The White House said the strikes on movement-controlled areas of the country were defensive in nature. It was also claimed at the time that the strikes were carried out to protect international vessels.
