Court arrests property of former St. Petersburg vice-governor for almost 1 bln


The property of the former deputy governor of St. Petersburg on housing and utilities Vladimir Lavlentsev for almost 1 billion rubles was arrested by court order. This became known on November 22 from the text of the verdict of the ex-officer.
"Lavlentsev's property is subject to security arrest for the total amount of 992 million 195 thousand rubles. Security seizure to maintain until the entry into force of this court sentence," - quotes from the text TASS.
It is specified that among the property under arrest are land plots in the Tver and Moscow regions, real estate in the Moscow region and the capital, as well as shares in several commercial firms.
Lovlentsev served as St. Petersburg's vice-governor for housing and utilities from May 2013 to October 2014. From November 2015 to November 2018, he worked as chief federal inspector for Moscow, and in November 2021 he became general director of Stroytransgaz. The company is the general contractor for the construction of the SKA Arena hockey complex.
In July 2023 Lovlentsev was sent under house arrest on suspicion of fraud. According to "Izvestia", the former vice-governor became a defendant in a criminal case of embezzlement on construction contracts. The amount of damage is about 3 billion rubles.
On November 21, the court sentenced former vice-governor of St. Petersburg Lovlentsev to 13 years in a penal colony, and also imposed a fine of 132.9 million rubles. Another defendant in the case, former general director of SKA Arena LLC Igor Zabiran, was sentenced to 7.5 years in a penal colony and fined 54 million rubles.
