- Tokayev instructed to strengthen Kazakhstan's security because of the Ukrainian conflict

November 21, spokesman for the President of Kazakhstan Berik Uali said that the head of the country Kasym-Jomart Tokayev called to strengthen the security of the Republic of Kazakhstan against the background of the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine.
As Berik Uali wrote on Facebook (banned in Russia, owned by Meta Corporation, recognized as extremist in Russia), Tokayev instructed to take urgent measures to ensure the security of the main civilian and military facilities of Kazakhstan. The instruction was given to the prime minister, the head of the presidential administration, the heads of all security agencies and akims, Kazakhstan's spokesman said.
The situation in the country is under Tokayev's personal control, he said
"For our state, the main strategic goal is to preserve stability, calm, law and order," Uali added.
Earlier, on October 17, Tokayev said Russia was invincible and called for thinking about peace. He added that there is no other way but peaceful settlement of the conflict.
Before that, on September 16, Tokayev had already called Russia a militarily invincible country. At the same time, he said that the chance for a truce on Ukraine was lost after Kiev's refusal to conclude the Istanbul agreement. Then he added that in order to settle the conflict, it was necessary to consider all the peace initiatives of different countries and come to a decision to stop hostilities.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on November 21 that Ukraine had used Western long-range weapons against the Russian state. According to him, the regional conflict has acquired elements of global character. He also said that the Russian state had tested the Oreshnik missile in response to NATO 's aggressive actions.
On November 19, the Russian military shot down five ATACMS missiles launched by the AFU in the Bryansk region and damaged another one. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called it a signal that the West wants to escalate the conflict.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by the Russian president on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
